BREWING GUIDES

Weak or watery coffee: check the ratio

If coffee seems watery, check how much coffee and water you used. Strength and body are not the same perception. Use the recipe as a reference and compare one adjustment per brew.

Try changing first

Choose one experiment your equipment allows. Compare using the same coffee and recipe. This list is neither a diagnosis nor a sequence of changes to make all at once.

  1. Change 1 of 3

    Check coffee and water

Weigh both and compare with the recipe. Correct a measurement error before creating a new ratio.

  2. Change 2 of 3

Try less water for the same coffee dose

If measurements were correct, less water per gram of coffee lets you explore concentration. This can also affect extraction.

  3. Change 3 of 3

Compare grind in a separate brew

If you control grind, a small finer adjustment is another possible test. Do not change water and grind in the same experiment.
